1st Annual Brumley Musicfest Star-Studded Lineup Continues to Grow

Making it One of the Largest Music Events of it’s Kind in N.W. Arkansas

(Bentonville,AR) The 1st Annual Brumley Musicfest concert will be held at Bentonville, AR High

School on May 14 and 15, 2010. The list of performers continues to grow with the recent addition of

Christy Sutherland, an up-and-coming singer-songwriter from Texas and daughter-in-law of Barbara

Mandrell. She is a frequent guest on the Grand Ole Opry and will be appearing on the Saturday night

line-up of the Brumley Musicfest.

Also added to the lineup is Patti Beth Anderson a.k.a. “Willamae” who will be bringing comedy

breaks to both nights of the Musicfest. Known as the “Minnie Pearl of Grand Lake”, she has opened

for the likes of Ray Price, Porter Wagoner, Buck Trent, and Jerry Clower. Other well-known southern

gospel and bluegrass music acts from around the country include The Grascals, Brian Free &

Assurance, Karen Peck & New River, The Dove Brothers Quartet, The Diplomats, Little Roy & Lizzy.

Also featured will be The Chuckwagon Gang, which will be rejoined by Shaye Smith, a fan favorite

and granddaughter of one of the original “Chuckwagon Gang” members. Additionally, Mark Bishop

and Aaron Wilburn will both be parts of each night’s lineups. Matthew Dudney, Christy Sutherland’s

husband, will serve as emcee for both nights.

The Brumley Musicfest will be one of the largest gatherings ever of southern gospel and bluegrass acts

in Northwest Arkansas. The event is organized by the third-generation of Brumley’s, who are

continuing the 67-year-old family music business started by the late Albert E. Brumley. The senior

Brumley authored over 800 songs, including “I’ll Fly Away” (his most popular song, recorded in

every country and every language on the planet, and by every genre of music), “Turn Your Radio On”,

and “Jesus Hold My hand”. Additionally, the 42nd Brumley Gospel Sing, the “granddaddy of gospel

sings”, will also still take place in Lebanon, MO in August.

All profits from ticket sales will be given to local charities including Decision Point, a drug and

alcohol treatment center in N.W. Arkansas. Sold out audiences are expected for both nights with

already brisk ticket sales. Area hotels and motels are offering discounted rates for out-of-town fans.

Tickets are on sale now: $60 reserved floor seating for both nights, $35 general admission bleacher

seating for both nights, and $20 for single-night general admission bleacher seating. Showtime will be

7:00 p.m. both evening’s performances. All major credit cards are accepted and ticket purchases and

hotel reservations can be made at brumleymusicfest.com. Tickets can also be ordered over the phone

toll-free 888-462-6718.
